Bike Match

Which motorcycle should you actually buy?

Everyone has an opinion about your next bike. Bike Match has your riding history: what you've ridden, what you rated highly, what you can afford and what you'll use it for.

Five very different questions, one answer each

"Which bike should I buy?" means something completely different depending on who is asking.

  • Your first motorcycle

License class, realistic budget, manageable power and seat height — and bikes that stay fun once the first season is over.

  • Your next motorcycle

You know what you like. Bike Match starts from what you've already ridden and looks for the step up that's actually a step up.

  • Something completely different

Twenty years on sportbikes and curious about adventure? We map what you love about riding onto a category you haven't tried.

  • A 125 for your kid

Sensible, safe and resellable, with the things a parent should check on a used 125 spelled out.

  • You already know the model

Skip straight to Bike Hunt: collect the listings for that exact bike and find the best one that's actually for sale.

Rider DNA

One profile, many searches

Bike Match doesn't start from scratch every time. Your Rider DNA carries over, so each new search only asks what's genuinely new: the goal, the budget, the use.

  • A search for a winter project and a search for a touring bike share the same profile
  • Match percentages come with reasons, so you can disagree with them
  • Every bike you rate makes the next result better
  • Shortlisted bikes move into your Bike Hunt with one tap

Questions

About matching

How is the match percentage calculated?

From how well a bike fits your riding preferences, your experience, your budget and what you want to use it for. Every result lists the reasons behind the number, and you can tell us when we got it wrong.

Will it only recommend expensive bikes?

No. Your budget is part of the match, not a filter applied afterwards — and expected running costs are part of it too, because a cheap bike with expensive service intervals isn't cheap.

Can I use it for a bike I can't ride yet?

Yes. License class is part of the match, so you can plan a bike for the license you're working towards.
