Bike Hunt

Every candidate, every answer, in one place

A used bike search is eight listings, four sellers, three viewings and a notes app you stop trusting after a week. Bike Hunt is where it all lives instead.

Add anything

Link, text or screenshot

Add a listing however you found it. Bike Hunt reads it, files it and starts tracking it as a candidate — from big classifieds portals to a dealer's own website.

  • Paste a marketplace link, the listing text, or a screenshot from your phone
  • Price, year, mileage, modifications and seller claims are extracted automatically
  • Your own photos and notes from the viewing sit on the same candidate
  • Every candidate keeps its full history, including price changes

Listing analysis

A Buy Score you can argue with

Every candidate gets analyzed for price, condition, history and risk — and then shows you exactly what it based that on, including what the listing conveniently does not mention.

  • What speaks for the bike, what to check, and what's missing from the listing
  • Model-specific risks — the things this exact model is known for
  • Price checked against comparable listings, not against a wish
  • The score is a headline; the reasons are the product

Buy Score 91 / 100

Strong service history and an honest listing — with two things to check on site.

In its favor

  • Major service done in 2024 at an official dealer
  • Two owners, full documentation
  • No track use stated

Worth checking

  • Tires date from 2023 — plenty of tread, but aging
  • Belt service will be due within roughly a year

Missing from the listing

  • No invoices shown in the photos
  • VIN not visible
You always see what the score is made of, never just the number.

Seller assistant

The questions you'd forget to ask

For each candidate you get questions written for that bike and that listing. Copy them into the marketplace chat; paste the reply back and the answers become facts on the candidate.

  • Questions that come from the model's known weak points, not a generic checklist
  • Free-text replies turned into structured answers you can compare
  • Unanswered questions stay visible instead of quietly disappearing
  • Everything the seller said is there when you're standing at the bike

Comparison

Compare bikes you can actually buy

Model comparisons are easy to find. What's hard is comparing these three specific used bikes, with their specific histories, specific risks and specific asking prices.

  • Fit, price, mileage, service history, known risks and seller transparency side by side
  • Expected cost for the first year, not just the purchase price
  • Inspection findings feed straight back into the comparison
  • A clear explanation of why one candidate currently looks stronger

1199 Panigale S leads: the best documented history, the lowest expected first-year cost and a seller who answered everything.

Cost estimator

What it costs after you've paid for it

Insurance, tax, fuel, service, tires, chain, brakes and the repairs a bike of that age and mileage tends to need. In ranges, because anything more precise would be made up.

  • Estimated annual ownership cost per candidate
  • The big service that's due in eight months is part of the price you pay today
  • Compare a cheap bike with expensive upkeep against the opposite
  • Insurance integrations come later; for now you get a realistic range
Cost estimatorFirst year

Estimated annual ownership cost

$1,800–$2,600

  • Insurance$320$480
  • Road tax$60$90
  • Fuel$380$520
  • Service$420$700
  • Tires$380$520
  • Chain & sprockets$120$180
  • Likely repairs$120$400
Ranges, not false precision — insurance and wear depend on you, your region and how you ride.

Statuses that match how buying actually goes

A candidate is never just "saved". Bike Hunt tracks where each one stands, so you always know who you're waiting on.

  • Saved & contacted

The listing is in, the first message is out, and you can see how long it's been.

  • Replied & viewing

Answers are extracted, questions that are still open are visible, and the viewing is planned.

  • Inspected & negotiating

Your findings feed into the price. Your offer, their counteroffer and your limit stay in one place.

  • Purchased or rejected

Rejected candidates keep their reason. The purchased one moves into your garage.

Questions

About Bike Hunt

What happens when a listing is taken down?

Your candidate stays exactly as it was: photos, extracted data, the seller's answers and your notes. That is the single most common frustration of a used-bike search, and it is the reason Bike Hunt exists.

Do you contact sellers for me?

No. You send the messages yourself from your own marketplace account — sellers talk to a person, not to a tool. We write the questions and read the answers.

How many candidates can I track?

As many as your search needs. Most riders end up with six to ten candidates and two or three viewings.
